Jobs:
-Had specialized jobs
-Were divided into three different economic classes:
*The Emperor
*Lords
*Peasants
-Each class was assigned different jobs and had a variety of responsibilities
*Emperor: everything belonged to the emperor and everyone had to be loyal to him/her // most powerful ruler and political leader
*Lords: were like "nobles" // the emperor would give them land in exchange for loyalty and military service // most were warriors, but others were artisans, writers, government officials, craftsmen, etc.
*Peasants: prey were farmers who owned little land // had to grow food for lords
-Fun fact: 9/10 people in the Zhou Dynasty were farmers

*Mostly between cities of their own
-Some of the most valuable goods they traded were:

*Ritual vessels
